Principal investigator

Zhipeng completed his undergraduate studies at Tsinghua University in Lei Liu's lab. After taking a one-year gap at Princeton University, he began his PhD training in Wenshe Liu's lab. Upon earning his PhD, Zhipeng pursued postdoctoral work in Philip A. Cole's lab. He began his role as an Assistant Professor in June 2024.

Ling Zhang, Ph.D.

Ling received her B.S degree from East China Normal University and her Ph.D from Washington State University under the guidance of Dr. Andris Kleinhofs. Ling has over 20 years of experience in research and lab management. She has a strong background in diseases such as prostate cancer and extensive experience with cell culture and mouse models.

Yuanfei Zhou, Ph.D.

Yuanfei received a M.S. and Ph.D. in natural products chemistry at Kunming insititute of botany in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences under the direction of Prof. Pematenzin Puno. He then joined the Prof. Chu Wang lab in Peking University as Postdoc to take chemical proteomics study.

Nirosh Udayanga, Ph.D.

Nirosh earned his B.Sc. degree from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Xin Cui at Mississippi State University. His doctoral research focused on developing novel synthetic methodologies involving ruthenium-catalyzed asymmetric C–H bond activation. He then joined Prof. Zhengqiang Wang’s lab at the Center for Drug Design, University of Minnesota, as a postdoctoral researcher, where he worked on antiviral drug discovery, including the design and synthesis of small-molecule drug candidates targeting the Monkeypox virus and HIV. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Zhipeng Wang’s lab at the University of Miami, focusing on the design and synthesis of novel chemical probes for chemical proteomics and cancer epigenetics.

Zhuoyi is currently an undergraduate student at Miami University, majoring in general biology. Driven by a passion for biology, he joined this laboratory to further deepen his expertise in the field.
